James has over 28 years of experience in a variety of areas, ranging including hospitality, commercial warehouses, retail, data centers, multi-family/mixed-use experience as well as Senior Living Facilities and CCRC’s. The projects ranged from renovations of existing properties to ground-up developments. The majority of his experience has been in the multi-family sector and Senior Living genre providing ground-up communities for market-rate housing, low-income housing and Senior Living projects affording its residents to age-in-place with a variety of housing options including Cottages, ILU Units, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities. These projects included additional service facility such as dining commons, hair salons, and wellness facilities to work with the aging-in-place concept of many CCRC’s. He has extensive knowledge of the building code, construction types and how it applies to current building practices.

James has worked on all construction types including Type 2, Type 3 and Type 5 and coordinated projects with complex kitchen and food service functions within residential-type buildings. Meeting with code officials and coordinating consultants and all team members is also an integral part of his role.

James’ close interactions with governing authorities such as zoning, fire marshal and code officials brings another level of service to our clients. These relationships enable us to shorten the duration of agency review time to meet any schedule.
